No. 12 Women's Swimming & Diving Places Fifth At Big Ten Championships

This marks the second top-five finish for the Trojans in as many Big Ten Championship meets.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The USC women's swimming and diving team wrapped up competition at the Big Ten Championships. The Women of Troy concluded the weekend with seven championship appearances.
USC finished the meet fifth overall with 768 points. No. 4 Michigan took the team title with 1243 points followed.
Alisee Pisane began the evening the 1650y freestyle with an 11th place finish with a time of 16:17.35.
The Trojans then turned their focus to the 200Y IM. Isabella Schneider came in at a season best time of 2:00.15 to take fifth in the C final. Ashley McMillan and Justina Kozan finished fifth and seventh respectively in the A final with NCAA qualifying times of 1:56.52 and 1:57.18.
In the 100Y freestyle, Bella Brito and Claire Tuggle represented the Women of Troy. Brito finished second with a time of 48.89 and Tuggle took sixth with a season best time of 49.24. Nicole Maier posted an NCAA qualifying and season best time of 47.83 in the A final to finish fourth.
Sage Miller competed in the first final of her career in the 200Y butterfly. The freshman took sixth with an NCAA qualifying time of 1:56.58. Camden Doane posted a fourth place time of 1:58.22 in the event.
Dora Molnar finished fifth in the 200Y backstroke with a time of 1:53.21 to meet the qualifying standard just behind Lindsay Barnes. Barnes posted her own NCAA qualifying time of 1:52.95.
After competing in the consol finals of the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard, Kate Miller reached the championship final for platform diving. Miller racked up a score of 292.40 to finish fourth.
In the final event of the weekend, the 400Y freestyle relay squad posted a time of 3:18.18 to finish 11th.
