LOS ANGELES — USC Athletics and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum are set to deliver a reimagined game day experience for Trojan fans this fall, highlighted by the debut of a brand-new 5-million-pixel high-definition west videoboard, expanded concessions offerings, and increased fan engagement opportunities.Â
"Our supporters have never been more important to our success. That's why we're excited to improve the game day atmosphere inside the Coliseum this year with enhancements that elevate our atmosphere, celebrate Trojan traditions, and create an unmatched experience on Saturdays," said Charles Griffin Cale Director of Athletics Jen Cohen. "Improved fan engagement and increased support for our student-athletes are key pillars in our map to win the new era of college sports, and we are committed to doing everything we can to build a unified and electric home field environment possible for our student-athletes."
Next-Generation Videoboard
The centerpiece of an offseason of upgrades and improvements, the Coliseum's west videoboard has been fully replaced with a state-of-the-art LED display featuring more than 5.3 million pixels and nearly 6,000 square feet of display space.
The upgrade includes a full control system that will bring sharper visuals, improved reliability, and more dynamic in-game content, ensuring fans in the stadium have an enhanced view of the action.
Expanded Concessions & Premium Offerings
Fans will enjoy the most robust food and beverage program in Coliseum history, thanks to 22 new points of sale and refreshed spaces throughout the venue. Highlights include:
- New Menu Items: Mushroom torta, loaded mac and cheese, hot honey chicken sandwich, chicken & waffles, lobster rolls, tri-tip hoagies, and more.
- Grab-and-Go Markets: Three new self-service locations on the lower concourse and two on the upper concourse.
- Beer & Spirits Expansion: Full stadium access to spirits (beyond beer and wine), a new Coors Beer Cave at Tunnel 15, and self-serve draft "beer jets" at Tunnels 17 and 21.
- Renovated Fight On Grill near Gate 19 for faster service.
Infrastructure & Tradition
USC continues to invest in the Coliseum's infrastructure and heritage to ensure fans enjoy a world-class experience at a historic venue. All 1,100 Lou Galen Club seats have been replaced for upgraded comfort, and Phase II of the Legacy Walkway is now complete with more than 400 new fan pavers installed at Olympic Plaza below the Peristyle.Â
In addition, USC has begun long-planned concrete repairs in partnership with the Coliseum Commission as part of its commitment to preserving and maintaining the stadium. While scaffolding and protective netting will be visible throughout the project, normal operations will continue, and no seating areas or concessions will be closed. The work should have minimal impact on the fan experience and is scheduled for completion in October 2026.
Gameday TraditionsÂ
Beyond facility upgrades, USC is enhancing gameday traditions to ensure fans build lasting connections and forge lifelong memories all season long.Â
- Tunnel Captains: A lineup of Trojan legends and L.A. icons will lead the team out of the tunnel each game. Tunnel captains will be announced each week.
- Trojan Walk: The Trojans will arrive at the Coliseum two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff this season. Fans are encouraged to welcome the team as they arrive at the Peristyle entrance.
- Lighting of the Torch: USC's classic fourth-quarter tradition will be reenergized with a videoboard tie-in designed to excite and engage the crowd.
- Trojan Tailgate Show: The Trojan Tailgate Show will be moving to the Peristyle this season. All are invited to come watch the show in person and meet the hosts. It begins two hours before kickoff.Â
And, of course, the Spirit of Troy will anchor the day with high-energy performances from pregame through postgame.Â
Fan-First Focus
As part of its commitment to increased and improved fan engagement, USC will conduct fan surveys after all seven home games this season. Results will be used to make real-time improvements during the 2025 season and to help shape long-term planning for 2026 and beyond.
With these improvements, the Coliseum continues to cement itself as THE PLACE TO BE on Saturdays in Los Angeles.
