May 09, 2025 | Women's Golf
COLUMBUS, Ga. – USC women's golf freshman Jasmine Koo joins ten of the best golfers in the country as she represents the Women of Troy on the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel Final Watch List, the Haskins Foundation announced Friday, May 10.
Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award, presented by Stifel, is annually given to the top female Division 1 collegiate golfers, players, coaches, and members of the college golf media vote on the winner. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer.
By being named to the final watch list, Koo will join her fellow golfers on the final voting ballot for the award. Voting will take place starting today and will conclude with the completion of the stroke play portion of the NCAA Championship on Monday, May 20th.
Koo was named the unanimous Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was All-Big Ten first team after leading USC in wins (four), stroke average (70.94), rounds under par (17) and birdies (130). The freshman's four wins this season are tied for the most in program history; she also tied the record for most wins in succession as she won three straight (Windy City Collegiate Classic; Stanford Intercollegiate; East Lake Cup). Koo also leads the Trojans in rounds in the 60s (12), as she broke the program record previously set by Amari Avery (2023) and Kyung Kim (2014).
According to the Scoreboard Clippd rankings, the freshman is ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division I Women's Individual Rankings. Koo peaked as the No. 1 player in those rankings twice this season. Koo is also ranked No. 6 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
The Women of Troy are set for the NCAA Championship Final Site, as they hope to make another run into match play. The stroke play portion of the competition will start on Friday, May 16 and go through Monday, May 19.
