USC’s Jasmine Koo Earns Fourth Big Ten Golfer of the Week Honor
March 06, 2025 | Women's Golf
The freshman claimed her fourth tournament title and tied the single season program record for wins at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational
ROSEMONT, Ill. - USC women's golf freshman Jasmine Koo (Cerritos, Calif./Cerritos) was named Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of Feb. 28-Mar. 5; the conference announced on Thursday, Mar. 6.
Koo won her fourth conference weekly award after tying the USC single-season record for wins with her fourth individual title at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational (Mar. 4). Koo tied her career low for one-round, posting a 65 (-7) in the final round to push her into a three-way tie for the individual title. The freshman is now back on top of the rankings, as this win pushed her back into the No. 1 spot in the NCAA's Scoreboard Clippd rankings.
Koo has won four events in seven career starts for the Women of Troy. Her four career wins include the Windy City Collegiate Classic (Oct. 1), the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 20), the East Lake Cup (Oct. 28), and the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational (Mar. 4). By winning those four events, Koo is tied with Annie Park (2013) and Irene Cho (2006) for the most wins in a single season in USC history.
This is the Women of Troy's fifth-ever Big Ten weekly award, as she currently owns the most weekly honors in the Big Ten. Park won the first weekly award for USC on Sept. 19.
The Trojans finished third at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational and have now taken top three in all seven tournaments this season.
Koo will search for title No. 5 as she and the Trojans have five possible tournaments remaining in the season. Next up, USC will take a short break from tournaments as it faces UCLA in the Battle for the Bell on Monday, Mar. 17, at the Palos Verdes G.C. in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
