Kennedy Coakley and Ashley Pater won their 11th straight match in a 3-2 loss to the Seminoles

Florida State evened the score with a win from the No. 4 position when Myriah Massey and Makenna Wolfe took down the Trojans' sophomore duo of Madison Goellner and Kaileigh Truslow in straight sets, 21-13, 21-19. Another straight-set finish from the top court put the Seminoles in front by a 2-1 count. There, the Trojans' pair of sophomore Zoey Henson and junior Madison White fell to Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig, 21-19, 21-18.
The clinching point came from the No. 3 position when Bailey Higgins and Carra Sassack came up with a three-set win over graduates Maya Gessner and Ella Larkin, 21-15, 18-21, 15-11. USC scored a second point in another three-setter when freshman Calinda Kok and junior Mabyn Thomas got a 22-20, 18-21, 15-13 win over Jordan Boulware and Kenzie Hultquist. Kok and Thomas paired for the first time.
