December 03, 2025 | Baseball
LOS ANGELES – Coming off its best season in a decade, USC Baseball Head Coach Andy Stankiewicz announced the team's 2026 schedule this week as the Trojans head into their second season as members of the Big Ten Conference, and first season at the new Dedeaux Field.
The Trojans open the 2026 season with their first 18 games in the state of California, and 14 of those being home games at Dedeaux Field. USC will open the 2026 season on Feb. 13 against Pepperdine (Feb. 13-15), followed by a home series against Rice (Feb. 20-22). The Trojans' first road series of the season comes when USC travels to San Luis Obispo to take on Cal Poly in a four-game series (Feb. 26-Mar. 1). The Trojans open Big Ten play at home when they host Illinois (March 6-8).
NEW DEDEAUX FIELD
After spending the last two seasons in Irvine, the Trojans will be back home at the new Dedeaux Field on the University Park campus this year. While construction on USC's stadium will be ongoing during the 2026 season, all games will be open to the public and free of charge. More details about game days at Dedeaux Field for the 2026 season will be available in January.
HOME SCHEDULE
The Trojans have 33 home games on the slate, up from 29 last season. The 33 games are made up of eight three-game series and nine nonconference midweek games. The Trojans will host five conference series, including three in the final four weekends of the season.
USC hosts three full nonconference series at Dedeaux, welcoming Pepperdine (Feb. 13-15) to open the season and hosting Rice the following weekend (Feb. 20-22). During the Big Ten bye week, the Trojans will host Nevada (May 8-10).

LAST SEASON
USC finished last season 37-23 overall and 18-12 in its first season of Big Ten play. The Trojans finished fourth in the Big Ten, winning 10-of-13 three-game series on the year. The season included a run of eight-straight series wins (the longest such streak for USC since 1978), and the Trojans earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in a decade. The Trojans won two games in the NCAA Corvallis Regional, finding themselves in the Regional Championship game before falling to Oregon State.
2025 marked the third season under Head Coach Andy Stankiewicz, with the Trojans seeing marked improvement for a third consecutive year. The Trojans' 37 wins were the program's most since 2015 and the NCAA at-large bid was the first postseason appearance for USC since 2015 as well. It was the Trojans' third straight 30-win season, marking the first such streak since 2000-02 under Hall of Fame Coach Mike Gillespie. The Trojans finished in fourth place in the conference standings for the third consecutive year, earning the first back-to-back-to-back top four conference finishes also since 2000-02. USC posted four wins over ranked opponents, including a series win over No. 14 UCLA, and a win over No. 22 TCU in the opening game of the Corvallis Regional.
STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE
The Trojans will play six opponents and 16 games against teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament last season, including three matchups against tournament national seeds. The six teams combined for 18 wins in the tournament and two CWS trips.
Oregon State, Nebraska, Oregon, Cal Poly, UCLA and UC Irvine all made the NCAA field last year, with UCLA and Oregon State earning spots in the College World Series. The Bruins, Beavers and Oregon Ducks were all national seeds in last year's tournament.
