USC's Hot Streak Continues as Three Trojans Advance to NCAA Tennis Semifinals

Trio of Trojans advance to the NCAA Semifinals in Orlando.
ORLANDO, Fla. - USC's hot streak at the 2025 NCAA Individual Championships continued on Friday afternoon, with all three of USC's competing Trojans advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals. In singles, Jana Hossam advanced to the final four, while USC's pair of Lily Fairclough and Dani Borruel punched their ticket into the doubles semifinals.
USC is the lone school from the Big Ten conference with players competing in the singles and doubles semifinals tomorrow. The last time USC had competitors reach both the singles and doubles semifinals was in 2023.
Junior Fairclough and freshman Borruel turned in a strong performance on Friday morning, downing Yale's Friedman/Ogilvy 6-1, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals. With the win, the pair becomes the first USC doubles pairing to reach the semifinals since Maddy Sieg and Eryn Cayetano in 2023.
Tomorrow, the pair will face NC State's Osuligwe/Broadfoot in the quarterfinals at 10 a.m. PT.
Sophomore Hossam ftook down her quarterfinal opponent in straight sets, powering past NC State's Mia Slama 6-4, 6-0 to reach the final four.Tomorrow, Hossam will play for a spot in the NCAA singles championship final at 7 a.m. PT against UNC's Reese Brantmeier.
Hossam is USC's first singles semifinalist since Maddy Sieg reached the final four in 2023.
