USC Women’s Tennis Sends Six to NCAA Individual Championships
November 17, 2025 | Women's Tennis
LOS ANGELES - After a record breaking fall for USC women's tennis, the Trojans will try to finish strong at this week's 2025 NCAA Individual Championships. In total, USC will send six players to Orlando, Fla., marking the most in program history and the most out of any Big Ten school this season.
USC qualified four players in singles, as senior Emma Charney, sophomore Jana Hossam, freshman Krisha Mahendran and freshman Eugenia Zozaya are all set to compete.. Charney qualified by reaching the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American Championships back in September. Hossam reached the finals of the ITA Southwest Regional Championships to claim her spot, while Zozaya reached the finals of the ITA Conference Master's Championships. Fellow freshman Mahandran reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Sectional Championships to punch her ticket. Charney is the lone Trojan with previous NCAA tournament singles experience, losing in the Round of 64 during her sophomore year.
In doubles, USC will send four in total, as Mahendran & Hossam and Lily Fairclough & Dani Borruel all qualified. Fairclough and Borruel won the ITA Southwest Regional Championships to qualify, while Mahendran and Hossam qualified by reaching the semifinals of the ITA Sectional Championships. Fairclough competed in last year's NCAA Doubles Championship, falling in the Round of 16 with then-partner Grace Piper.
The Trojans are tied for the most 2025 NCAA Championship qualifiers out of any school in the country in both singles, doubles and overall. The 2025 NCAA Individual Championships will kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 18 in Orlando, Fla (USTA National Campus).
