LOS ANGELES—Following an eight-year hiatus, USC Athletics is reinstating the Hall of Fame with a refreshed, modern design that celebrates the storied legacy and rich heritage of Trojan athletics.Â
The Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by USC Athletics, celebrating student-athletes, coaches, administrators, media members and athletic supporters who have brought lasting distinction to the university, while upholding exemplary standards of character and contributing positively to their communities.
Dormant since 2018, USC Athletics will welcome a new class into the Hall of Fame in the fall of 2026.
"USC is home to some of the greatest student-athletes, coaches and legendary figures in the history of college sports, and we are excited to reintroduce the USC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2026," said Charles Griffin Cale Director of Athletics Jen Cohen. "Honoring our traditions and recognizing those Trojan greats who represent the very best of USC is one of the most powerful ways we bridge our extraordinary past to the bold future we are building together."
Induction to the USC Athletics Hall of Fame is reserved for Trojan varsity letter winners who have demonstrated exceptional ability, dedication and achievement, as well as for athletic department staff, media members and USC Athletics supporters who have achieved comparable distinction in their respective roles.
The Hall of Fame will take place every other year, inducting a class between 15-20 honorees.Â
To be considered for induction into the USC Athletics Hall of Fame, a student-athlete must:
1.    Have earned one or more varsity letters in a sport at USC
2.     Have gained national distinction through exceptional athletic performance — for example, earning First Team All-America honors, winning an individual national championship, receiving a national award, achieving All-Conference recognition or holding USC and/or NCAA records, or…
3.    Have achieved notable success in a professional athletic career or participated in the Olympic Games or World Championships
4.    Have established a personal reputation for integrity, leadership and civic responsibility that brings honor to the University
5.    Be at least 20 years removed from graduation or the exhaustion of collegiate eligibility
Note:Â A student-athlete who earns a degree from USC but later transfers remains eligible for Hall of Fame consideration. However, those who transfer before completing a bachelor's degree at USC are not eligible for induction.
Each new Hall of Fame class will see the eligibility window reduced by two years, eventually standardizing at 10 years after graduation or the completion of collegiate eligibility.
Â
Information on voting procedures and the 2026 Hall of Fame celebration will be announced soon.
Additional details regarding the USC Athletics Hall of Fame, including how members of the Trojan Family can submit suggestions for the 2026 ballot, will be shared at a later date.
