Bailey Shoemaker Wins Tom Cousins Award
October 25, 2025 | Women's Golf
ATLANTA – USC Women's Golf's Bailey Shoemaker has been named as the 2025 Tom Cousins Award recipient, the committee announced at the annual East Lake Cup Welcome Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The committee, overseen by representatives from Golf Channel, East Lake Foundation and East Lake Golf Club, selects one male and one female recipient from participating teams in the East Lake Cup. The award is given to student-athletes who best exemplify the civic, community and philanthropic qualities of East Lake Foundation founder Tom Cousins.
The Dade City, Florida, native has given back to the Los Angeles golf community since arriving on campus at USC. Most recently, Shoemaker volunteered with Angel City Sports, assisting at adaptive golf clinics with wounded veterans and children with disabilities. Additionally, the All-Big Ten Second Team honoree worked with the junior golf camp at Hillcrest Country Club and the Rick Smith Golf Academy out of Trump National Golf Club. At both camps, Shoemaker worked with children from diverse backgrounds to teach them the game of golf. Shoemaker is also disciplined in the classroom, earning Big Ten All-Academic team honors.
"I'm very blessed to receive this award," Shoemaker said. "Everyone who has won this award in the past has been a role model to me, and I've always hoped to leave the same impact on the game that others have before me."
