USC's Florianne Jourde to Compete in U20 World Cup with Canada

LOS ANGELES – The Canadian Soccer Association announced its roster for the upcoming FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Colombia and USC sophomore Florianne Jourde was one of the midfielders named to the 21-player squad.
The U20 World Cup runs Aug. 31-Sept. 22, with Canada opening pool play on Aug. 31 against France. Jourde and Canada will also face Fiji on Sept. 3 and then round out pool play against Brazil on Sept. 6.
Jourde has been a part of both U17 and U20 sides with Canada, including competing in the last U20 World Cup in 2022. The Montreal native was also named to the CONCACAF Best XI in 2022.
In her first season at USC in 2023, Jourde saw time in 15 matches, making four starts and playing a total of 571 minutes. She scored two goals and provided two assists as a freshman last year. Jourde saw action in USC's opener at New Mexico State last week, coming on as a late sub.
USC's Maribel Flores is also competing at the U20 World Cup in Colombia with Mexico.
