USC Rowing Heads North to Dexter Lake Invitational

The Trojans will enter boats in four categories: the Varsity Four, the Third Varsity Eight, the Second Varsity Eight, and the Varsity Eight.
LOS ANGELES – The USC women's rowing team travels to Lowell, Ore. to race in the Dexter Lake Invitational on April 27 on the waters of the Dexter Lake reservoir. The Trojans will enter boats in four categories: the Varsity Four, the Third Varsity Eight, the Second Varsity Eight, and the Varsity Eight.

In 2023, USC comes home with four first place finishes, three second place finishes, and a third-place finish in two sessions of racing. The Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, and Third Varsity Eight all finished in first against boats from Oregon State, UCLA, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Wisconsin, LMU, and UCF.

The Trojan's will race against boats from Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Oklahoma, Oregon State, and UCLA. The Varsity Four will begin the day for USC at 9:00 a.m. PT, followed by the Second Varsity Eight at 9:40 a.m. PT, the Varsity Eight will race at 10:00 a.m. PT and to close out the invitation, the Third Varsity Eight at 10:20 a.m. PT.Â

In 2022-23, USC made its second of back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Championships and finished 16th with 42 points. The Women of Troy claimed a fourth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships and had junior Zoe McCutcheon named to the All-Conference Team. The Trojans swept crosstown rival UCLA in the annual rivalry dual to open the spring and improved to 20-1 all-time in head-to-head meetings with the Bruins. USC was ranked for much of the season in the Pocock CRCA Poll.
