The Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, and Varsity Four defeated Dartmouth and Cornell boats in the second session of racing on the second day of the invitational. The Women of Troy also finished first in the third session of racing downing boats from Pennsylvania and Columbia.
Â
In session one on April 12, all USC boats will race in lane three against Penn and Brown. The Varsity Four will hit the water first at 9:24 a.m. PT. The Second Varsity Eight will race at 9:36, and the Varsity Eight will race at 9:48.Â
Â
In session two on April 13, the Trojans will continue to race in lane three but against Princeton and Rutgers. The Varsity Eight will begin this session for USC at 8:00 a.m. PT, followed by the Second Varsity Eight at 8:12 a.m. PT, and to close out the invitation, the Varsity Four will race at 8:24 a.m. PT.Â
Â
In 2022-23, USC made its second of back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Championships and finished 16th with 42 points. Under sixth-year head coach Josh Adam, the Women of Troy claimed a fourth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships and had junior Zoe McCutcheon named to the All-Conference Team. The Trojans swept crosstown rival UCLA in the annual rivalry dual to open the spring and improved to 20-1 all-time in head-to-head meetings with the Bruins.
