No. 5 USC Falls to No. 7 Tennessee in the First Round of the ITA Indoor Team Championship

NEW YORK CITY -Â No. 5 (12-seeded) USC men's tennis (4-3) fell in the first round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship 4-0 to No. 7 (5-seeded) Tennessee on Friday, Feb. 16, at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center in New York City.Â

The Trojans could not pick up any victories in the match, as they were swept in both doubles and singles by the Volunteers.Â
Â
USC sophomore Oscar Weightman appeared in his second collegiate singles match. Weightman was well on his way to his first win but went unfinished as the Volunteers produced the game-clinching match victory on court No. 6.

The Trojans will face Duke in the consolation rounds tomorrow, as the time and location have yet to be determined.Â
