LOS ANGELES – The College Sports Communicators released Academic All-America teams this week and USC's Laurence Gladu became the third Trojan to earn the recognition.
Gladu was named to the second team, joining past Trojans Penelope Hocking (second team, 2020) and Alex Anthony (first team, 2017).
The CSC Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Players are required to maintain at least a 3.50 GPA and have significant athletic and academic accomplishments to be considered for the award.
Gladu had a stellar season in goal for USC, earning the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year award as well as All-Big Ten first team recognition. The Penn transfer had 18 wins and 11 shutouts this season. She earns the honor as a Master's student studying Gerontology at the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology.
