2024 USC Baseball Schedule Announced, Trojans to Play Home Games Offsite
January 22, 2024 | Baseball
LOS ANGELES – USC Baseball Head Coach Andy Stankiewicz announced the team's 2024 schedule as the Trojans prepare to play off campus this season with construction of a new, state-of-the-art stadium at Dedeaux Field underway.
USC will open its 2024 campaign in Arizona at the MLB Desert Invitational (Feb. 16-18) and also travels to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas (home of the Texas Rangers) for the Kubota College Baseball Series (March 1-3). Most notable to fans will be that the Trojans will play the majority of their home games at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, Calif. while construction begins on Dedeaux Field. All USC home games will be free and open to the public this season.
"The University and our Athletic Department have once again shown their commitment to USC baseball through this incredible investment in Dedeaux Field," said Stankiewicz. "This stadium will provide our student-athletes with the world-class facilities they deserve. In the meantime, we have found a temporary home at Orange County Great Park in Irvine that we can truly make our own. While we will certainly miss playing on the University Park campus, we look forward to spending time with the large contingent of Trojan fans down in Orange County and will do everything we can to support our student-athletes during this transition process. We also want to thank the teams at UC Irvine and LMU who have made their facilities available for several of our games this season."
2024 also marks USC's final season playing in the Pac-12 as the Trojans' membership in the Big Ten officially starts next school year.
HOME SCHEDULE
The Trojans have 27 home games on the slate, with 21 set to be played at OC Great Park, three midweek contests scheduled at LMU and a three-game series against Oregon State (March 28-30) which will be played at UC Irvine.
USC has two non-conference home series scheduled, with Portland coming to OC Great Park Feb. 23-25 and a combined series with Sacramento State and Santa Clara set for April 19-21. The rest of the home series at OC Great Park will be against Pac-12 foes, with Arizona (March 8-10), Washington (April 5-7), California (May 3-5) and Utah (May 16-18) traveling to Southern California.
The Trojans' three midweek games at LMU will be against UC San Diego (Feb. 20), Michigan (Feb. 27) and UC Irvine (April 9). USC also has midweek contests at OC Great Park scheduled against CBU (March 12), Fresno State (March 26) and San Diego (April 16).

LAST SEASON
2023 marked the Trojans' first season under Head Coach Stankiewicz and USC saw a remarkable turnaround in his inaugural campaign at Troy. USC went from a last-place Pac-12 finish in 2022, to finishing fourth in the conference in 2023 with a league record of 17-13. USC finished the '23 season 34-23-1 overall, narrowly missing the NCAA Postseason after being left out by the selection committee. It was the first time a Pac-12 team had won 17 games in the league and not been selected for the NCAA Tournament.
USC won 10 of its 14 series on the year, including three-series wins over ranked opponents (No. 2 Stanford, No. 22 UCLA, No. 17 Oregon) and reached as high as No. 21 in the national polls. The Trojans' overall and conference win totals were both 9 victories more than the previous season and were the best for a USC team since 2015.
DEDEAUX FIELD ENHANCEMENTS
USC baseball will receive an upgraded stadium with a capacity of around 2,500 once the project is completed. The stadium features include fan experience enhancements such as a variety of seating options, outdoor social spaces, an indoor hospitality space, multiple concession locations, expanded restrooms, a video board and an audio system. The stadium will also include a brand-new press box, coaching and support staff offices, and a team meeting space.
The work is part of USC President Carol Folt's athletics "moonshot," which also includes a new football conditioning center; Rawlinson Stadium, a new home for USC's women's lacrosse and soccer; and renovations to Galen Center.
OC GREAT PARK
OC Great Park, presented by UCI Health, is a 194-acre sports complex in Irvine, Calif. that features amenities for baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, soccer and more.
