Carson Kranz and Tom McGuire pick up their second spots on the MPSF honor roll.
USC men's water polo has two repeat honorees joined by six new faces on the MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete list for 2023 after the Trojans made a 19th straight NCAA Tournament trek this past season. Leading the way with their second set of MPSF academic accolades are seniors Carson Kranz and Tom McGuire. Junior Aidan Wattson has scored his first round of MPSF honors, joined by fellow first-time recipients Massimo Di Martire, Andrej Grgurevic, Bernardo Herzer, Eric Hubner and Charlie Saunders, who were all freshly eligible for the award this season.
All eight Trojans boast cumulative GPAs over 3.0 and are at least a sophomore academically with one full academic year served at USC. Di Martire, Herzer and Kranz also picked up ACWPC All-America honors this season, marking their standout efforts in the pool as well as in the classroom.
The eight Trojans represent six different academic degree programs spanning two schools at USC. Grgurevic (accounting & finance), Herzer (business administration), Wattson (business - cinematic arts), Di Martire (master of finance), Hubner (real estate development), Kranz (real estate development) and Saunders (real estate development) all hail from the USC Marshall School of Business. McGuire, meanwhile, is in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering as a biomedical engineering major.
