USC Cross Country To Compete At The Waves Invitational Saturday

Trojans coming off a 2nd-place finish at LMU, best finish since 2016 Pepperdine Invitational
The USC women's cross country team will compete this weekend at the 2023 Pepperdine Waves Invitational (4K) at Alumni Park on the Pepperdine campus in Malibu, Calif. at 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 9.
The Trojans are coming off a second-place finish at the LMU South Bay Twilight Meet on Sept. 1, USC's best finish since winning the 2016 Pepperdine Invitational. Freshman Marjourie Lopez led the Trojans in the 6K opener with a time of 21:14.5 to place fourth individually. Six of the eight Trojan athletes which competed at the LMU South Bay Twilight Meet were running their first race as a Trojan.
Trojans expected to compete at the Waves Invitational are Alyssa Blockburger, Leah Disher, Jacqueline Duarte, Marjourie Lopez, Gigi Maccagnini, Lucia Rabolli, Marina Soares, Haley Spoden, Marne Sullivan and Angelina Vasquez.
