USC’s Calen Bullock Named to 2023 Bronko Nagurski Watch List

LOS ANGELES—USC First Team All-American safety Calen Bullock was named to the 2023 Bronko Nagurski Watch List today (Aug. 1). The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is presented annually to the top defensive player in college football.

In 2022, USC defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu was a finalist for the award.

Bullock, a junior, will lead the Trojan secondary in 2023. He started all 14 games in 2022 and led the team in interceptions with 5 (ranked 11th in the nation). He also tallied 48 tackles and 5 pass breakups. He was named to the 2022 All-Pac-12 Second Team and the AP All-Pac-12 First team.

In his 3-year career, he has 87 tackles, 7 interceptions (running 1 back for a TD) and 8 pass breakups while appearing in 26 games with 14 starts.

The nominees for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy are selected from all Division I schools and voted on by members of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA). It is hosted by the Charlotte Touchdown Club in Charlotte, N.C.
