USC T&F Travels To The Florida Relays This Weekend

32 Trojans make the cross-country trek and will face stiff competition
The USC track and field team will be in action this weekend at the Florida Relays being held at Percy Beard Track and James G. Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Fla. on March 31 and April 1. There are expected to be 32 teams from around the country competing at the Florida Relays. The Trojan men have started the season unranked, while the women's team is ranked No. 2 nationally.

The Trojans will be competing at one of the larger early-season meets in the country when they travel to the Florida Relays. The Florida Relays began in 1939 and has grown from a small regional competition to one of the most prominent national meets during the season. The teams expected to be in action at the Florida Relays are: Alabama, Alabama State, Boston University, Central Arkansas, UCF, FAMU, Florida, FSU, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Hampton, Harvard, Howard, Jacksonville, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Miami (FL), Michigan, North Carolina A&T, UNF, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Prairie View A&M, Rutgers, South Carolina, USC, USF, Texas A&M, UNC-Charlotte, Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt

Next week:  USC will be hosing the Ron & Sharlene Allice Trojan Invitational on April 7-8. On Friday, April 7, the men's and women's discus and hammer throw competitions will be held at the Colich Throws Center in Wilmington, Calif. beginning at noon. The bulk of the meet will be at Allyson Felix Field in Loker Stadium on Saturday, April 8 beginning at 10 a.m.
