USC's Malia Nam Tied For Fourth After Valley Invitational 36-Hole Opener

Senior Malia Nam fired a second-round par 72 that followed her opening morning round 4-over, playing as USC's lone entry during a 36-hole first day of the Valley Invitational at the Bakersfield (Calif.) C.C. on Monday (Feb. 6).
Nam will tee off in Tuesday's final round in a five-way tie for fourth at 4-over 148 (76-72). She is one out of a tie for 2nd, four off the lead.
She got off to a slow start in the first round at 4-over through 10 holes before settling down to close at par over the last eight holes.
Nam's second round of par saw six birdies, including three in a row between 11 and 13.a
She will begin the final round on 15 in a shotgun start that starts at 8 a.m,
