April 29, 2022 | Baseball
PULLMAN, Wash. – Jaden Agassi and Carson Lambert were dominant on the mound, and Tyresse Turner provided the bulk of the offense as the USC baseball team took down Washington State 4-1 on Friday night in Pullman.

Jaden Agassi tossed 4.2 scoreless innings in the start, getting two double-plays from his defense and scattering five hits. Carson Lambert took over for the final out of the fifth, stranding two runners in the process, and then worked into the ninth before Matt Keating took over for the final out of the game. Lambert's lone run scored after he exited in the ninth. He struck out five and walked one.
The Trojans got on the board first when Johnny Olmstead and Rhylan Thomas hit back-to-back singles in the third, and D'Andre Smith doubled home Olmstead.
Tyresse Turner would provide the rest of the run production, scoring in the eighth and then driving in a pair in the ninth. The Trojan second baseman reached on an infield single in the eighth, advanced on a bunt, stole third and then beat a throw home on a grounder to the mound to score. He made it 4-0 USC when he flared a single over the third baseman's head to score Tyler Lozano and Olmstead in the top of the ninth.
Turner finished with four hits and two doubles. Thomas also extended his streak to 10 consecutive multi-hit games with a pair of knocks.
