October 03, 2021 | Women's Soccer
TUCSON, Ariz. – Penelope Hocking scored her 48th collegiate goal to equalize the game and tie the USC career scoring record, and Jada Talley scored the game-winner against her former program in a 4-1 win at Arizona for the No. 21 USC women's soccer team.

Hocking's record-tying goal came in the 19th minute when she finished a cross from Helena Sampaio, just eight minutes after the Wildcats jumped on top 1-0. The teams would go into the break 1-1.
Â
It was all USC in the second half as the visitors scored three goals on 14 shots. The Trojans outshot Arizona 23-6 overall on the day.
Â
Talley, who transferred to USC prior to this season after four years of playing in Tucson, scored the go-ahead goal in the 69th minute on a cross from Madeline Vergura. Jaelyn Eisenhart padded the USC lead with a nifty goal in the 80th minute and Croix Bethune capped the second half surge with her team-leading 7th goal of the year in the 84th minute.
