USC Cross Country To Compete At Highlander Invitational Saturday

Trojans use meet as tune-up before the Pac-12 Championships
The USC women's cross country team will be competing at the Highlander Invitational (6K) to be held on the UCR Agricultural Operations Course in Riverside, Calif. on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 8 40 a.m. The meet will be the final regular season competition.
"Our team is looking forward to compete this weekend" said USC associate head coach for cross country Jebreh Harris. "We have Jemima Russell, Julia Bounds and Alicia Liera stepping in to compete for the first time this year. This is a pivotal part of our season as we have Pac-12 Championships two weeks from now."
Trojans who are scheduled to compete this weekend are Bounds,, Maya LaCamp, Liera, Â Mihajla Milovanovic, Giovanna Pisano and Russell.
USC opened the season by placing third at the Mark Covert Classic (5K) in Brea, Calif. on Sept. 4. The third-place finish was USC's best since winning the 2016 Pepperdine Invitational. The Trojans then placed seventh on this same course at the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 18. Six of USC's seven runners at that meet were running their first career 6K race.
USC's cross country team will next be in action at the 2021 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships to be held at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah on Oct. 29. The women's 6K race will be at 10 a.m. PT and air on the Pac-12 Network.
