Trojans Sign San Diego Standout Olivia Yun

Incoming freshman will join USC after successful junior career.
Junior standout Olivia Yun from Carlsbad, Calif., who has a pair of top 2 AJGA finishes on her resume, has signed to play with USC, Trojans Women's Golf Head Coach Justin Silverstein announced today.
"We are fired up to welcome Olivia to our program," Silverstein said. "Olivia's record, both academically and athletically, is squarely what (assistant coach) Katie (Mitchell) and I want when adding new members to the Trojan Family. She complements what was already a very talented 2020 class and puts us in a great spot for the next few years."
Yun, a senior at Torrey Pines High in San Diego who previously attended Pacific Ridge, tied for second at the AJGA Junior at Chicopee last July and finished second at the WinCraft / McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends in the summer of 2018. She posted her first win on the Toyota Tour Cup at Carlton Oaks in 2019 of October.
Yun's 2019 AJGA season also included a trio of top 16 finishes at the AJGA Junior at Gleneagles (T11), the Callaway Golf Junior Championships (T14) and the Under Armour / Jordan Spieth Championship (T16). Her 2018 AJGA season included four top 14 results, including a fifth at the AJGA Gary Woodland Junior Championship.
A one-time San Diego Junior Golf Association Player of the Year, Yun was the San Diego Union Tribune's 2019 Academic Athlete of the Year for girls' golf and boasts a GPA north of 4.0.
