LOS ANGELES – The USC baseball team dropped a 15-3 decision to No. 6 UCLA at home on Sunday afternoon.
The Trojans gave up nine unearned runs and never got anything going at the plate, falling to 9-5 on the year. The Bruins move to 13-2 on the year.
UCLA scored three unearned runs in the first inning, but USC answered back in the bottom half of the inning when Clay Owens hit a two-run homer. The Trojans didn't find another run until the seventh inning when John Thomas scored on a double play ball.
The Bruins finished with 19 hits, breaking the game open with three runs in the fifth and then five in the seventh.
USC still went 2-1 on the weekend for the fourth straight week, after beating No. 22 TCU on Friday and then No. 2 Vanderbilt on Saturday.

The Trojans host Xavier for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday and then open Pac-12 play at home with a three-game series against Washington starting on Friday.
