Bailey Lear Named Women’s Athlete of the Meet at MPSF Indoor Track & Field Championships

Lear, 11 Others Qualify For NCAA Championships

USC sophomore sprinter Bailey Lear has been named the Women's Athlete of the Meet at the 2020 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Lear shattered the meet and track record in winning the women's 400 meters in 51.60, besting the old mark of 52.03 set by Oregon's Phyllis Francis in 2013. Lear's time, her season and personal best, moved her to third on the USC all-time indoor chart.

She helped the Women of Troy finish in second place in the 2020 team standings.

Lear is the fourth Trojan to earn MPSF Women's Athlete of the Meet honors in USC's seven years of participation, joining Dior Hall (2019), Amalie Iuel (2016) and Jessica Davis (2014).
