On Friday, Jan. 31, Trojans and Bruins put their differences aside and came together for Super Bowl Spirit Day at 186th Street Elementary School.
USC football players Liam Douglass, Josh Falo, Nick Figueroa and Jordan Iosefa traveled to the Gardena school to participate in a tailgate party, during which teachers and students wore their favorite team's gear, ranging from USC to the Lakers to the Mexican National Soccer Team.
The Trojans played sports with the elementary schoolers and encouraged them to participate in sports going forward. They also gifted all the schoolchildren with a free book to encourage them to develop good reading habits.
