USC T&F Opens Indoor Season At MLK Jr. Collegiate Invitational This Week

Women ranked No. 1, Men No. 3
The preseason No. 1 ranked USC women's and No. 3 ranked Trojan men's track and field teams will open the indoor season at the at the Martin Luther King Jr. Collegiate Invitational to be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. on Jan. 24-25. The action begins at 3 p.m. PT on Friday, Jan. 24 and at 8:30 a.m. PT on Saturday, Jan. 25.
The USC women's team finished second at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships and the men's team placed 17th. Chanel Brissett in the 60m hurdles, Kaelin Roberts in the 400m and TeeTee Terry in the 60m dash were all NCAA indoor champions. In all, USC returns nine NCAA indoor All-Americans.Â
Also, 10 different athletes will be making their USC track and field debuts at the meet.
Among the Trojans tentatively scheduled to compete are:
Women  – Breanna Bernard-Joseph, Chloe Berry, Alyssa Brewer, Chanel Brissett, Jatana Folston, Karlee Freeman, Jazmyne Frost, Bailey Lear, Joy McArthur, Mecca McGlaston, Chioma Okonkwo, Cassidy Palka, Kenya Payne, Kaelin Roberts, Shante Robinson, TeeTee Terry, Lanae-Tava Thomas.
Men  – Austin Alle, Eric Allen Jr., Nathan Bultman, Kenan Christon, Earvin da Silva, Michael Gonzalez, Zion Gordon, Noah Green, Jalyn Jackson, Isaiah Jewett, Jason Kim, Matthew Myrtue, Nicholas Ramey, Earnest Sears III, Zach Shinnick, Brendon Stewart and Sam VanDorpe.
