Tara McKeown Named National and Pac-12 Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES – After scoring four goals and assisting on a game-winner, USC women's soccer forward Tara McKeown was named both the United Soccer Coaches National and Pac-12 Player of the Week.
McKeown led the No. 4 Trojans to wins over Florida and Florida State, and is now tied for the Pac-12 lead in goals scored.
The junior striker opened the week by posting a brace against Florida at Banc of California Stadium on Thursday in a 3-1 win over the Gators, and then followed that up with another two-goal performance against then-No. 1 Florida State on Sunday at UCLA. McKeown also assisted on the game-winner in overtime against the Seminoles, making a run up the gut of the FSU defense and sliding a ball to Penelope Hocking for the golden goal.
McKeown has now scored in every game this season for USC (4-0) and her six goals are tied with Stanford's Catarina Macario for tops in the Pac-12. The six goals have already matched her career high from last season just four games into the 2019 campaign.
USC plays a pair of home games this week, hosting Northern Arizona on Friday and then Nebraska on Sunday. Sunday's contest against the Huskers will be senior day for the Trojans.
