USC received 13 of 21 first-place votes in the WGCA Coaches preseason poll released today, coming in just ahead of defending national champion Duke, which got four first-place votes. Texas is No. 3 and had three first-place votes while No. 4 Stanford received the final first-place vote. Florida State rounds out the top 5.
The Trojans topped today's Golf Channel poll as well with Stanford listed second, Duke third, Texas fourth with Florida five.
In the recently released Golfweek preseason poll, Duke was No. 2, Stanford No. 3, Texas No. 4 and UCLA No. 5.
The Trojans lineup features five All-Americans from last season in first-teamer Jennifer Chang, second teamers Gabriela Ruffels and Malia Nam and honorable mention picks Alyaa Abdulghany and Amelia Garvey. Allisen Corpuz, an All-Pac-12 selection along with the rest, is back as the lone senior on the team.
Senior Aiko Leong and sophomore Katherine Muzi are the remaining two Trojans who have also started in their Trojan career while sophomore Georgia Carr is all back.
