USC's Lanae-Tava Thomas won the women's 200m gold medal at the 2019 PanAm U20 Championships held at Estadio Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica today (July 20).
Thomas won the women's 200m title with a time of 22.80 (+1.4) in the finals, the only runner going sub-23 seconds. Thomas advanced to the finals earlier in the day by posting the top qualifying time of 23.12 (+0.8) in the semifinals.
