USC Places Fifth In 2018-19 Directors’ Cup

For the fifth consecutive year, USC finished in the Top 5 of the Division I Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings.
USC placed fifth in the 2018-19 standings, with 1075.75 points. It was the eighth time in the Directors' Cup's 26-year history that Troy had a Top 5 finish.
The Directors' Cup recognizes the top athletic programs in the nation, with points awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
USC scored in 16 of 19 total sports. The Trojans were spearheaded by a national championship in men's water polo and four NCAA runner-up finishes on the women's side – indoor track and field, beach volleyball,outdoor track and field and water polo. Troy also got key points for fifth place finishes in women's golf and men's volleyball, along with ninth place showings in men's and women's tennis.
The Pac-12 had 3 teams among the Top 6 finishers, with champion Stanford and sixth place UCLA joining USC. Michigan was second, Florida was third and Texas was fourth.
