2019 USC Women's Soccer Schedule Announced

LOS ANGELES – The 2019 USC women's soccer schedule was announced today and features matchups with three of the last five national champions, including an early season game against the reigning NCAA title-holders Florida State.
The Trojans' slate features 19 regular season games, with nine at home and 10 games on the road. The 2019 schedule starts with a home exhibition against Pepperdine on August 17.
USC also welcomes Northern Arizona (Sept. 6) and Nebraska (Sept. 8) for non-conference home games before opening Pac-12 play.
The Trojans begin conference play at home against Stanford on September 28. USC hosts four other Pac-12 contests this year, including Utah (Oct. 10), Colorado (Oct. 13), Washington State (Oct. 24) and Washington (Oct. 27).
Pac-12 road trips this year include Arizona State (Oct. 3) and Arizona (Oct. 6), Cal (Oct. 18), and Oregon (Oct. 31) and Oregon State (Nov. 3). The Trojans close the regular season with their annual matchup against UCLA on November 8 in Westwood.
Florida State, which knocked USC out of the NCAA Tournament via penalty kicks in the Sweet 16, won last year's tournament, and Stanford made it to the College Cup before falling to the Seminoles in the semifinals. UCLA and Baylor made last year's Elite 8, and Washington State and Arizona each won their opening round games.
USC Head Coach Keidane McAlpine returns for his sixth season at the helm after leading the Trojans to a 17-2-3 record last year and the program's fifth straight tournament appearance. McAlpine led USC to its second NCAA Championship back in 2016. The Trojans are one of six NCAA programs to win multiple titles and were the first Pac-12 program to do so.
The Trojans lost five seniors from last year's team, including the No. 5 (Leah Pruitt) and No. 12 (Ally Prisock) picks in the NWSL Draft. USC brings in the No. 3 recruiting class in the country this year, and returns two All-Americans (Kaylie Collins and Savannah DeMelo) and last year's Pac-12 Freshman of the Year (Penelope Hocking).

HOME SLATE
The Trojans welcome Florida (Aug. 29) and Florida State (Sept. 1) to Southern California early in the season, with the sites for those matchups still to be announced. STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE
