Bushor Named to All-Academic Team, Shockey, Thomas Honorable Mention

LOS ANGELES – Three USC baseball players earned recognition with the release of the Pac-12 All-Academic teams on Thursday.
Chase Bushor was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic second team, and Brady Shockey and John Thomas earned All-Academic honorable mention.
It is the first All-Academic nod for the senior Bushor, who just completed his second season with the Trojans after transferring from Georgetown. The Trojan shortstop earned a 3.43 GPA as a business administration major, graduating this spring. On the field, Bushor posted a .264 batting average, with two homers, eight doubles, 25 RBI and 29 runs scored.
Brady Shockey garners his first academic recognition, earning a 3.32 GPA as a biomedical engineering major. Shockey, a junior outfielder, was second on the team with a .295 batting average, posting 14 RBI and 24 runs scored, with two homers and 10 doubles.
John Thomas also earns his first academic recognition this season after maintaining a 3.28 GPA as a communications major. Thomas posted 10 RBI and scored seven runs as a junior first baseman.
