Brewer Leads The Trojans At The Pac-12 Cross Country Championships

Sophomore Alyssa Brewer led the Trojans with a slight PR at the 2019 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships (6K) held on the Ash Creek Preserve in Monmouth, Ore. today (Nov. 1). The Trojans placed 12th in the race which began at noon in 51-degree weather.Â
Brewer placed 95th overall with a time of 21:58.8 to lead the Trojans, which was 0.1 second faster than her previous personal best set at the 2019 Highlander Invitational.
USC's second finisher was senior Chloe Berry who had a time of 22:51.4 to finish 103rd.Â
Sophomore Jemima Russell was next for USC with a time of 23:11.1 to finish 107th, to begin a string of five consecutive Trojan finishers. Right behind her was senior Kamryn Weber with a time of 23:28.5, sophomore Brynn Sauer with a PR of 24:04.4, freshman Patty Haggerty with a time of 24:20.0 and junior Sydney Tullai with a time of 24:34.6.
The Pac-12 Conference Championships featured five of the top 20 ranked teams in the country and was won today by No. 2 Stanford.
