She will join three other Trojans in final four rounds starting Wednesday.
Former USC All-American Muni He – among four Trojans competing in the grueling eight-round 2019 LPGA Q-Series including current junior Jennifer Chang -- sits atop the 98-women field at the halfway point, with play resuming Wednesday (Oct. 30) at Pinehurst No. 9 in North Carolina.
He, who earned her 2019 tour card after success on the 2018 Symetra Tour, leads the field by two strokes at 9-under 275. She made eight cuts in 19 events in the LPGA Tour as a rookie, but did not do well enough to avoid the Q-Series.
Golfers are competing for a top 45 finish (and ties) to receive Category 14 membership on the LPGA Tour Priority List for 2020.
Chang, one of five college players in the field, is tied for 14th at the midway point at 3-under. Other Trojans in the field include former All-Americans Sophia Popov (T43, +2) and Kyung Kim (T51, +3).
Any Trojans who earn their cards will join current LPGA Tour members Lizette Salas, Annie Park, Jennifer Song and Robynn Ree. Ree re-claimed her Tour status after her 2019 Symetra Tour top 10 finish.
