Current NCAA No. 1 is the sixth Trojan to make the squad.
Junior Justin Suh, the NCAA's top-ranked player this year with four wins and seven top 9 finishes to his credit this season, is among 10 golfers named to the Arnold Palmer Cup's U.S. squad, it was announced today (March 14).
Suh follows former teammates Sean Crocker (2017) and Rico Hoey (2016, 2014), who both represented the American side in recent Palmer Cups. Current USC Coach Chris Zambri also led the U.S. to victory, 13-11, as the head coach in 2010.
Other Trojans who have played in the Palmer Cup include Netherlands-native Tim Sluiter (2008), who represented Europe, Jamie Lovemark (2007) and Brian Hull in the first Cup in 1997.
Suh, who also tops the Haskin Award watch list and is on the Ben Hogan Award watch list, most recently won the Southern Highlands Collegiate for his fourth win this season, the most at USC since Trojan All-American Lovemark's four in 2007.
Suh boasts 14 rounds under 70 this year, 16 rounds under par and 19 rounds of par or better in 20 outings this season for a stroke average of 68.25, which is under Lovemark's school-record 70.10.
Suh's fourth win is his fifth top 2 finish this year, sixth top 4 and seventh top 9 in as many tries. It was also his 12th straight top 20 finish dating back to last year, 10 of which have been inside the top 9 and 11 in the top 11.
Overall this year, Suh is 26-6-2 against the top 25, 52-9-3 against the top 50, 94-12-3 against the top 100 and 481-12-6 against all players.
Suh and the Trojans return to action at The Goodwin, March 29-31.
