
Six Trojans Invited to NFL Combine

Today, the NFL announced the 326 players invited to the NFL Combine, and six of them are Trojans.
Wide receiver Deontay Burnett, quarterback Sam Darnold, defensive end Rasheem Green, running back Ronald Jones II, wide receiver Steven Mitchell Jr. and linebacker Uchenna Nwosu earned the opportunity to participate in the Combine, which takes place from Feb. 27 to March 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
USC's six representatives is tied for the most by any college in the Pac-12.
Burnett (pictured) led the Pac-12 with 86 receptions in 2017, racking up 1,114 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Darnold was named First Team All-Pac-12 after leading the conference with 4,143 pass yards. He completed 63.1 percent of his passes and threw 26 touchdowns on the year.
Green joined Darnold on the Pac-12 first team after posting 43 tackles and 10 sacks.
Jones had an outstanding junior season, racking up 1,550 rush yards and 19 rush TDs to earn Pac-12 First Team honors as well. Jones leaves USC as the school's No. 5 all-time rusher in terms of career yards.
Mitchell had his best season in Cardinal and Gold as a redshirt senior in 2017. He made 41 catches for 644 yards and 4 touchdowns, showing remarkable perseverance in the face of multiple injuries.
Nwosu also broke out in his senior season. The linebacker posted 75 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery and 13 passes broken up. No linebacker in the nation had as many pass deflections as Nwosu in 2017.
The 2018 NFL Combine will be broadcast on NFL Network from Feb. 27 to March 5.
