On Sunday, former USC All-American wide receiver Nelson Agholor and the Philadelphia Eagles topped the New England Patriots, 41-33, to win Super Bowl LII.
Agholor posted 9 catches (tied for a game-high) and 84 receiving yards in the win, becoming the 61st Trojan to ever earn a Super Bowl ring. Agholor also carried the ball once for 9 yards, for a total of 93 yards from scrimmage in the game.
Agholor's 9 receptions were the most by a Trojan in Super Bowl history, surpassing Lynn Swann's seven catches in Super Bowl XIII. His 84 receiving yards ranks third in Super Bowl history by a USC product.
The win put an exclamation point on a breakout season for Agholor, in which he made 92 catches for 768 yards and 8 touchdowns — all career-highs. In fact, his production this year outweighed his stats from his first two seasons in the NFL combined. He ranked second on the Eagles in all receiving categories during their Super Bowl-winning season. Agholor was also the biggest third down threat in the NFL all season long — QBs had an NFL-high 134.7 passer rating when targeting him on third down.
