Salma Ewing to Compete in Blizzard Wild Card Challenge

Freshman Salma Ewing will travel to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. to compete in the Blizzard Wild Card Challenge. No. 20 ranked Ewing will join seven other of the top women's collegiate tennis players in the nation who will be featured in this tournament. Out of the eight women invited to participate in the tournament, Ewing was the only freshman selected.
The champion of the women's tournament will earn a spot in the main draw of a 2019 $60K tournament. In addition, they will receive a guaranteed spot in the 2019 Collegiate National Team.
The eight participants will be divided into two groups for round-robin play on Dec. 15-16, with the top two in each group advancing to the semifinals on Dec. 17. The finals will take place on Dec. 18.
