USC women sweep top three spots on platform.
For the second day in a row, USC women's divers took the top three spots as juniors Naomi Gowlett and Carly Souza and senior Madi Witt swept the women's platform while Henry Fusaro won the men's 1-meter to wrap up the Trojan Diving Invitational on Sunday (Nov. 11) at Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
On Saturday, Souza overcame Gowlett's lead after prelims on 3-meter. The roles reversed on Sunday as Gowlett took the competition with a combined 467.75, edging her teammate by 3.05 points thanks to a finals-best total of 237.10. Witt took third with 457.85 while freshman Adriane Tam was eighth (389.70).
Fusaro, who won the 3-meter and platform, completed the three-event sweep by capturing the men's platform with a combined 729.45, almost 120 points ahead of second place. Junior Brad Dalrymple was fourth with 556.60.
