Six USC seniors pick up academic accolades in their final season.
After extending its record-setting run of consecutive trips to the NCAA final, the USC men's water polo team set a new record with a program-best eight Trojans earning status as MPSF Scholar-Athletes.
Leading the pack this season was redshirt junior driver Tim Leong (3.67 GPA, business-cinematic arts), who joined five of his teammates as repeat honorees. Seniors Mihajlo Milicevic (3.62, business administration), Matteo Morelli (3.49, business administration) and Lazar Pasuljevic (3.14, real estate development) are now three-time MPSF Scholar-Athletes, and senior Blake Edwards (3.41, communication) and redshirt sophomore Daniel Leong (3.40, business administration) are enjoying their second year as awardees. Rounding out the all-academic group, seniors Grant Stein (3.03, human biology) and James Walters (3.01, real estate development) picked up their first career honors as MPSF Scholar-Athletes in their final season at Troy.
In addition to their standout work in the classroom, these Trojans contributed greatly in the pool to a strong 2017 season in which USC won the 2017 MPSF Tournament title and also reached the NCAA final for the 13th straight year.
