Trojans Place Fourth At UNLV Invitational

Gore USC's top finisher once again
Amber Gore finished 10th individually to lead the USC cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the UNLV Invitational at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas, Nevada today (Sept. 23).
The junior Gore finished the 5K course in a time of 18:12 to finish 10th in the individual battle. Gore has now been the Trojans' top finisher in all three meets this season.
Lauren Maurer continued her strong season by posting a time of 18:47 to finish 22nd overall and second among the Trojans. For the junior Maurer, it was her second consecutive, second-place finish among the Trojans.
Freshman Jennifer Daly had a PR of 18:54 to finish third among the Trojans and 25th overall. It was the second-straight PR in a 5K race for Daly, as she had a time of 19:06.5 at the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 16.
USC's final two scoring runners were senior Madison Ricks who finished 30th with a time of 19:03 and sophomore Chloe Berry who finished 36th with a time of 19:28. Also, freshman Julia Bounds placed 40th with a time of 19:42 and sophomore Kamryn Weber 42nd with a time of 19:50.
The USC women's cross country team will next be in action at the Highlander Invitational in Riverside, Calif. on Oct. 14.
