Muhammad & Gaither Advance At 2017 IAAF World Championships

Dalilah Muhammad advanced to the women's 400m hurdles final and Tynia Gaither to the women's 200m semifinal at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London, England today (Aug. 8).

Muhammad (USC, 2012) won her semifinal heat with a time of 55.00 to automatically advance to the final on Aug. 10. She ended up with the fifth-fastest qualifying time as she was only challenged very late in her heat.
Gaither (USC, 2016) took second in her women's 200m heat with a time of 22.98 to automatically advance to the semifinals on Aug. 10. Gaither's time ended up tied for ninth-fastest among the qualifiers.
