This week, the student-athletes of USC track & field participated in a decades-long South L.A. tradition to help fellow Angelenos enjoy their Thanksgiving.
The Trojans partook in the 35th Annual EJ Jackson Limousine Turkey and Grocery Giveaway, packaging and distributing thousands of boxes filled with turkeys, stuffing, asparagus, yams and other traditional components of a Thanksgiving meal for families in need.
The event has grown immensely over the years. During the inaugural giveaway, the founder distributed just 100 turkeys, but this year, that number was closer to 12,000.
