Marko Vavic Scores Another MPSF Newcomer Of the Week Award

That’s three for the Trojan freshman, who now leads USC in scoring on the year.
Freshman Marko Vavic has secured his third selection as MPSF Newcomer of the Week after delivering six goals across two wins for the Trojans last week.
Vavic had back-to-back hat tricks to take over as USC's 2017 scoring leader, punching in three goals in a 25-3 win at Concordia before replicating that scoring output on just four shots in a 24-8 win over #11 San José State. Vavic also had two steals and an assist in the win over the Spartans. Now with 39 goals on the year, Vavic leads all Trojans in scoring this season.
Vavic and the Trojans have a key road trip ahead this weekend, heading up to Northern California for a pair of tests. No. 1 USC will first pay a visit to No. 2 Cal for a crucial MPSF matchup at 11 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 4) in Berkeley. Then it's up to Stockton to take on Pacific in a 1 p.m. faceoff on Sunday (Nov. 5).
