Seven Trojans Named To MPSF All-Academic Teams

Kendall Ellis, Deanna Hill, Tera Novy, Nick Ponzio, Dominic Smallwood, Jaide Stepter and Jenna Tong were named 2016 Mountan Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic Scholar Athletes for the indoor track and field season it was announced on April 9. To be selected, an athlete must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and compete at least one full academic year at the institutions.
Ellis is a sophomore 400m runner from Pembroke Pines, Fla., Hill a sophomore sprinter from Orlando, Fla., Novy a senior discus thrower from Montesano, Wash., Ponzio a sophomore shot putter from Temecula, Calif., Smallwood a sophomore jumper from Las Vegas, Nev., Stepter a senior hurdler and sprinter from Tucson, Ariz. and Tong a senior distance runner from Manhattan Beach, Calif.
