Two Trojans Earn National Academic Honors

Winners of five consecutive NCAA Championships, the USC men's water polo team also has accumulated academic accolades for this past 2012 season. Senior Matt Burton has been awarded with his third career recognition with All-Academic honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. He is joined this season by two-time honoree Ivan Kustic.
After his fifth championship season with the Trojans, redshirt senior Matt Burton held a 3.69 GPA to go along with his status as a two-time All-American. A broadcast journalism major, Burton is finishing up a master's in communication management.
A redshirt sophomore, Ivan Kustic is now a two-time All-Academic honoree. He held a 3.3 GPA and is majoring in business administration.
