Six Trojans were selected on the final day of the 2011 NFL Draft, giving USC a total of a national-best 9 players selected this year.
For the fourth time in the past 6 years, USC had the most players selected in the NFL Draft (also in 2006, 2008 and 2009), tied this year with North Carolina.
USC's all-time number of NFL draftees is now 473, surpassing Notre Dame for the most from any school (the Irish have 467 draftees, including 1 in 2011).
On Saturday (April 30), tight end Jordan Cameron was picked in the fourth round by the Cleveland Browns. Wide receiver Ronald Johnson went in the sixth round to the San Francisco 49ers and tailback Allen Bradford was a sixth round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Three Trojans were selected successively in the seventh and final round: fullback Stanley Havili by the Philadelphia Eagles, followed by wide receiver David Ausberry by the Oakland Raiders and then Malcolm Smith by the Seattle Seahawks.
On Thursday (April 28), offensive tackle Tyron Smith was a first round selection of the Dallas Cowboys. That upped USC's national-best number of first rounders to 75.
On Friday (April 29), defensive tackle Jurrell Casey (Tennessee Titans) and cornerback Shareece Wright (San Diego Chargers) went in the third round.
